Jayme Brown
Brown a freshman from Phoenix , Az was name to the First team, which is the first conference accolade of her career. She is the first first year to earn a spot on the first team since Katie Brothers in 1998
The first year helped guide a backline that posted 11 shoutout, including wins over Springfield in the NEWMAC
quarterfinals and a historic victory over MIT in the NEWMAC semifinals, Brown also helped the defense record shutouts against Worchester State, Salem State and Framingham State, Salve Regina, WPI, Mount Holyoke, Smith, Emerson and Wheaton.
The Clark defense only allowed 0.69 goals per game across 20 matches. all of which Brown started. The first year dished out an assist in a victory over Framingham State.
Coach Smith Quote" Jayme (jeb) was a crucial part of nearly impenetrable backline that was instrumental in leading our team to program record 11 shutouts in a season. As a first year she helped thwart the attack of some of the best offensive players in the country. She is an outstanding 1v1 defender with excellent IQ and relentless work rate. I'm thrilled to see the conference recognized her contributions to our success.
